We had a fun country swell over the weekend. It came up about midday on Thursday and peaked Friday into Friday evening. On average, waves were in the 4-5 foot range, but Rockpiles was breaking which means it had to be at least 6 feet at certain spots which were focused on the NNW angle.READ MORE

In case you have not yet heard, local surfing photographer Mike Prickett was paralyzed by a bout of the bends after rescuing a fellow diver in Tahiti. Town coming awake as Country dies down

State Championships kicked off at Bowls 2 weekends ago and they scored some pretty nice 3-4 foot waves during the contest. Have not been able to get any real results from the contest yet, but I know Mike Akima got one of the best waves of the day in between the contestants while he wasREAD MORE
