photoCheck out this new kids book Riley to the Rescue on the Hudson River. This charming little nugget captures the significance of the historical Hudson River plane crash in 2009, while reminding children of the many hero's involved in keeping our waterways safe and the importance of keeping them clean. Author Donna Taylor also recently published How to Hide a Dinosaur, a fun story and interactive app for children 3-8 years old. How to Hide a Dinosaur can be found in the iTunes store and Riley to the Rescue is selling at Barnes & Noble, Amazon.com, Tate Publishing Bookstore, Books a Million and at the Intrepid Museum (NYC). You can also read about "Riley" on the website http://donnataylor.tateauthor.com/ and the Facebook page. I thought some of you might find these items fun for your own keiki or as gifts for others. It will help kids to see how the value of ocean safety and preservation in Hawai‘i is relevant to other locations and regions, even somewhere as urban as New York City.
